This series embodies some of my thoughts on medium specificity and the digital as a medium. Hyper Fidelity has two parts, a front-end component which is a digital composite in the form of a poster and a back-end component that has an augmented reality model of three dimensional digital disinformation posts that can be accessed by users through QR codes.
The digital composite’s function is to simulate how digital disinformation draws the attention of users on social media through digital black ops to simulate fake engagements. The QR code functions as a gateway between flatness and three-dimensionality.
